Storybook Charm
This classic Bel-Air, California house was designed by Wallace Neff in 1938 for Judy Garland, who was cast the same year as Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz'. We refreshed the interiors for our client, keeping the spaces airy with a modern slant, using pale sage, blush, and a background palette of whites and grays. Many of the antiques were purchased earlier when we worked with this client on their Nob Hill, San Francisco home, but custom lounging sofas were designed for these rooms. Many pieces of furniture and lighting, along with all the sisal area rugs, are custom designed by The Wiseman Group. Exterior spaces honor Neff's traditional architecture, yet the entry is updated with a paired back bench and modern planters from Belgium.
