LARAH SIFUENTES-WINTER - Associate Design Director
Larah Sifuentes-Winter brings a globally informed perspective to her architectural practice, shaped by a uniquely nomadic upbringing that spanned continents before she reached her teenage years. Born in the Netherlands to American parents, Larah relocated frequently throughout her childhood, gaining early and direct exposure to a remarkable breadth of architectural and design traditions. This foundation, paired with time spent on her father’s construction sites and immersed in her mother's passion for design, led her to identify architecture as her calling by the age of twelve.
Larah pursued her architectural education at UC Berkeley, including an exchange year in Venice, Italy at IUAV, before completing her graduate studies at the University of Oregon, supplemented by a landscape architecture program in Kyoto, Japan. This cross-cultural academic path continues to inform her design sensibility today.
Since joining The Wiseman Group in 2013, Larah has cultivated a body of work defined by effortless elegance – spaces where every element is deliberate and clearly resolved. Her design references span a curated and cosmopolitan range, from the formal rigor of Julia Morgan, the sculptural fluidity of Zaha Hadid and organic expressiveness of Antoni Gaudí, to the material honesty and refined craftsmanship of Japanese modernism.
Larah approaches each project with the conviction that the most elegant solutions are often the simplest. Her guiding ambition is to create homes that fully embody her clients' aspirations for themselves; spaces from which they can go forth and bring beauty into the world.
